Our monthly Gather & events are designed to encourage community gathering and socializing. We provide light refreshments and a welcoming space along with an activity ranging from plant exchanges, historical lectures, community meals, game nights, movies, and much more. Join us for November’s Gather & Community Market on Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the New Troy Community Center. This month’s market will feature a wide variety of local vendors, artisans, and community favorites, along with delicious soups available for lunch. Every lunch purchased supports our ongoing fundraiser for a new roof at the community center, so be sure to come hungry and shop local while contributing to an important cause.
At 11:00 AM, we’ll host a special ribbon-cutting celebrating the completion of the New Troy Community Center’s exterior revitalization project and the unveiling of four new historical plaques in the Memorial Garden. Led by the Friends of New Troy (FONT), the project included improvements such as repaved parking, accessible sidewalks, refreshed landscaping, and a renewed building façade. The newly installed plaques, researched and designed by FONT volunteers, tell the story of our community’s roots—from Chief Weesaw of the Potawatomi Tribe to the founding of Weesaw Township Park and the New Troy Community Center.
The project was made possible through a successful crowdfunding campaign on Patronicity, developed in partnership with Changemaker Studio of Bridgman. Community contributions from residents and local businesses helped the Friends of New Troy earn a matching grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation as well as support from the Berrien Community Foundation’s For Good grant program.
Landscape design and discounted plantings were provided by Sawyer Garden Center, and countless volunteer hours helped bring the project to completion.

Friends of New Troy is excited to announce the return of Gather & BINGO! This community favorite event will take place on Thursday, November 13, in the Multi-Purpose Room (Gym) at 6:00 PM at the New Troy Community Center.
Doors open at 5:30 PM, BINGO kicks off at 6:00 PM, and we will wrap things up at 7:00 PM.
Your first BINGO card and drinks are free from Friends of New Troy. Additional BINGO cards will be available for a donation of $5 each, or a plate of appetizers to share. All of the proceeds will go towards supporting future “Gather” events at the community center.
Guests can look forward to winning gift cards to local businesses, making this a perfect night to come out, celebrate community, and local support.
