Our monthly Gather & events are designed to encourage community gathering and socializing. We provide light refreshments and a welcoming space along with an activity ranging from plant exchanges, historical lectures, community meals, game nights, movies, and much more. Keep an eye on the calendar and join us for one of our gatherings!
Gather, Garden & Grow!
Spring is springing and that can only mean one thing: it's time to tend to our gardens! On Saturday, May 11th from 10:00 AM to noon, Friends of New Troy will hold its annual seed, seedling, plant, and garden equipment exchange, Gather, Garden & Grow!
Everyone is encouraged to bring their extra seeds, seedlings, plants, and gently used garden equipment (pots, starter trays, tools, soil, etc.) to exchange for something new to you!
We will gather in the Multi-Purpose Room (gym) at the Friends of New Troy Community Center at 13372 California Road, New Troy, Michigan. Warm and cool beverages will be available.
Anything left after the exchange is complete will be donated to our local gardening group, The River Valley Garden Club of Michigan, for their annual sale.
This event is free to the public, courtesy of Friends of New Troy, and all are welcome to participate. Donations are always appreciated and help to support future gatherings.
